Clothing Boutique: SPRING organizes semi-annual boutiques of donated apparel, where at no cost, families can collect clothing, winter coats, sports equipment, shoes and accessories. 

Crisis Intervention: SPRING responds to families experiencing exceptional hardship due to extended illness/hospitalization, sudden loss of employment and other family emergencies on a case by case basis. If a family experiences such a crisis, we recommend reaching out to the school social worker for additional support. 

Early Literacy: SPRING founded and continues to support the early literacy program for at-risk children at Springhurst Elementary School.

Enrichment Sponsors: SPRING works with local organizations to fund student participation in year-round enrichment programs, classes and activities.

Food Support: SPRING helps local families meet their food needs with gift cards to Stop & Shop; a partnership with local nonprofit Family-to-Family; and through Kids Can!, a food collection program at Springhurst. 

Help-a-Child 2.0: SPRING connects families most in need with community members who fulfill specific seasonal clothing and sports equipment requests.

High School Support: SPRING ensures that all students have the resources for test prep classes, the prom and a yearbook for senior year. 

Musical Muses: SPRING encourages music participation in all three Dobbs Ferry district schools by covering the cost of instrument rentals.

Nursery School Scholarships: SPRING works with Dobbs Ferry nursery schools to provide discounted tuition. 

School Supplies: SPRING provides children with the required supplies for the start of the school year.

Senior Awards: SPRING offers two types of awards to graduating seniors each year:  In Our Backyard to students with dedication to local service; and the SPRINGboard Award to students with financial need and plans for further education. 

Square Dance: SPRING hosts its annual fundraiser at Springhurst, featuring a live square dance caller, games, food, raffles and fun for the entire family. 

Snack Fairies: SPRING volunteers provide a supply of daily healthy snacks for children who need them.

Sports: SPRING encourages participation by partnering with school and community sports programs by assisting families with registration and equipment costs.   

Summer Camp: SPRING works with the Dobbs Ferry Parks and Recreation Department and other local community organizations to provide funding for children to attend local day camps.
